Ease of booking on line. Very good guide experience. Multiple stops.
A great way to see the city of Porto. Two lines one on the Porto side (Red Line), the other to the South on the opposite side of the river (Blue Line). We rode those lines from start to finish to get a sense of what we would like to see. Then went back and did the hop-on hop off. The buses were clean and on time. Maps on the bus showed you the roots. Couldn't ask for much more than that.
The tour went past all the important places and the information was very interesting. Too bad the music in between was so much louder that you had to turn the volume down!

The ride on the red line is very nice. They explain the iconic places and tell you the stop. The blue line is not worth doing. There is almost no explanation and they don't tell you the stops. They could tell you about the history of Portugal if there is nothing else to talk about, but they played fado music, nice, but I wanted to know about Porto and its history. Sometimes the bus would wait for about 20 minutes at the stops and you would sit down and get off to take pictures. They don't tell you anything. That wastes time.

Entering is already magical ... despite the number of people there is an atmosphere of a book tale of bibliitecs.... wood.... shelves ... smell of books.... thousands of them.... The interior is amazingly beautiful with its floors and ceiling.... It is a beautiful place full of stories waiting to be told or read.

Guess I must have missed the part about losing the app before going. Slight delay at the door. Extremely crowded but interesting and beautiful inside
The athmosphere is unforgetable I agree for the statement : The beautiful book store in the world😀 The books currated are the best Queue is in order, well arranged, although is very crowded I really want to return soon, hopefully
In spite of the large crowd, we got in nearly in the exact time. Was worthy to buy tickets online, made it all easy. Just to queue in the specified time and be patience. The place is a bit small for so many people but security people ard helping to move one group in one way and let other ones follow. Beautiful library, very unique, absolutely worth to visit 🥰👍👍👍👍
I booked my tickets that morning for a 1:15pm visit. Very well organized with 2 alternating queues and color coding. A lot of people in the bookshop, it's very very difficult to appreciate the decor, the photos are always with lots of other tourists... It's not nice to charge €10 to enter a shop... (children free)

The library very nice , but too many people
View original review in Italian
I loved the experience of such a beautiful bookshop in the centre of Porto, the interior design was stunning.
Awesome place to visit. Be there early as the queue lines, even for ticket holders, are very long.
The entire experience was fantastic. Helpful friendly staff.
It was a sardine can of people. It was a beautiful buidling and interior but it was unpleasntly crowded. I would not recommend it to anyone in the future and it was not worth paying to get into.
The place is really worth seeing. There are way too many people though. Nevertheless rhe organization is very good end the entry/exit process rums smoothly.
The building's exterior and interior are awesome and can only hint at this institution's remarkable past. Today, it seems to be a Disney-like interpretation of a quirky bookstore and the fee-based entry ritual is only a part of its odd no-longer-new personality. I sense that the uniformly-bound texts (admittedly in multiple languages so all tourists can enjoy them) are not the necessarily the best editions available, but they are certainly beautiful to look at. It doesn't have the character of an old, fascinating bookstore, as one might hope for, but rather offers a library fantasy for those who want to pay 10, 15, or 25 Euros to wander around for 30 minutes. One would get one's entry fee reimbursed when buying one of their books, but for true book lovers, there is not really a usefully-curated collection aimed at literature lovers or bibliophiles. It is intended for the general public, though, and is appealing especially to fans of the Harry Potter series, which is a loverly and popular way for them to guide their business model. It was a fun visit and offered countless photogenic vistas, in spite of the large timed crowds that flow through every 15 minutes. Definitely worth seeing for its grace and beauty, but not if the goal is literary or bibliophilic inspiration.
It was realy easy to order the tickets online!! We loved the bookstore so much. It was really pretty😍😍
We booked tickets for the Livraria Lello Library. The website was very easy to use and we recieved our tickets and confirmation immediately after booking.
Definitely worth the money. The library was wonderful and the books well presented, lots of people but well managed and the wait time looks longer than it was, moved quickly inside.
Staff were very helpful and pleasant. There was an excellent selection of books and the shop itself is beautiful. It was very crowded at 6pm in the evening
Such an extraordinarily beautiful building. Truly a highlight despite the crowds. Wish they'd let fewer people in but it is understandable that everyone wants to visit this magical little place.
queue was very long, totally overcrowded, queue for booksales, staff not very efficient. charged for a bag 1.50 euro which was too much after paying 10 euro for entry.
The ticketing with Headout was uncomplicated and simple ! Livrario Lello was marvellous but very growded. We just had a short look around. It would be important to communicat that there is no possibility to enter without booking a ticket!! The day before we tried to get a time to enter by standing in the queue. It was wasted time 🤷♀️
I liked visiting the bookstore but there were way too many people to enjoy it fully. And I would have liked more books in english.
The bookstore was beautiful, but you really couldn't see it. They let in way too many people at once. You couldn't even look at the box because it was so crowded. It was very claustrophobic in there and the pictures that you tried to take of the building itself. It was just too crowded.
I really enjoyed visiting this bookshop, which is truly magnificent. On the other hand, I was disappointed by the crowds, even at 9am... I would have much preferred to pay a little more to be able to enjoy it more quietly, without being jostled by the crowd of tourists.

It is a very attractive bookshop with a really quirky staircase. However, it was not one where you could easily browse books due to the crowds and narrowness of the shop in places. I did buy two books but thought they were quite expensive. I did not stay for the full allotted time as it wasn't quite the browsing in a bookstore I'd anticipated.
It was disappointing that we could not combine our ticket credit to buy a book as we could only use one per book and the book prices were much higher.
Very easy to buy tickets and subsequent info about the purchase and reminder about the event 🤗. The bookstore a good experience despite many people. Time to buy books and no "stress" at the checkout. Staff took the time to help people.

Although we booked the ticket online, we then had to pick it up in person at the ticket store and were given a receipt as a ticket: so inconvenient!!! The tours were rather boring and a lot of talk for very little! We saw more on the normal city bus. It was really not worth the 28€ per person!

Large tour bus not suited to narrow roads in the old parts of city.
Yes, a highly recommended experience for anyone visiting the city.

Several of the earbud boxes did not work. The stop button if you wanted to get off was not always easy to find & once it was broken.
This bus is very convenient but on the last stop a good hour's wait at the bus stop.

Places we visited were great with friendly staff. Views while in the bus are amazing and Living Tours staff are very friendly
End of the trip was the best thing (restaurant & winery), rest of it was on the road and first wine tasting was too little. Also the small town is nice at the beginning but needs to be a bit of more time than 40 minutes. Tour guide Mariana was amazing.
We highly recommend you do the wine tour to the Douro Valley... it was well organized, very informative and educational. We enjoyed the lunch served and wine tasting experience. Our guide Sergio was the best! He took care of everyone and made sure we were all comfortable. Thank you, Sergio
The timings of the tour was changed to 7:30 from 8:10, but I didn't receive the information. And it's been 4 days now and I still haven't received the refund. Extremely frustrating experience.
Nothing. Because , due to your invalid system my expected and booked trip, 10-10-24 was still set at the 8th. One of your people or livimgtours armitted to me: yes, this is failure because of your systems. Nevertheless: 0 refunds! Very disappointed! This is not to treat customers. It feels like stealing money. 0 points.
Duoro geographically is an interesting place. The Moscotel vineyard gave fascinating insights into that type of wine production. Generous lunch with wine lovely place Second vineyard again interesting but suffered from too many groups and echoing cellars so not able to hear all the information. Boat trip pleasant end to visit
The tour started 30 minutes late and ended on the scheduled time, undoubtedly taking some viewpoints out of the original schedule (I believe we were supposed to visit the Pinhao train station and some scenic spots along the route). The guide Ines was 20 minutes late and the support team did not seem to follow up with her situation right from the start. We were worried and confused. After the meeting time at 9am, the support team just asked us to wait in the cold. Quite some time later we were told that our guide was sick and someone else would replace her (but later our original guide showed up and said the traffic was bad). I would expect a better organization from such a big sompany ('Living Tours') Overall I was quite disappointed.
Very little.
Great experience, the scenery is stunning, the Quinta where we had the first tasting and lunch is a very pleasant place (lunch was simple and decent, not exceptional), the second one has an incredible setting and the river cruise is a must. The van is modern and comfortable. The group size is quite large (around 25), a more intimate experience would have been better suited to our personal preferences and our guide Antonio was nice and professional albeit a little impersonal. Overall not far from a 5/5 and I would recommend this experience.
Muy buena elección , un tour con muchas actividades incluida
THE EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT. WE BOOOKED A GUIDED TOUR IN THE DOURO VALLEY: 2 VINYARDS + DOURO CRUISE WERE INCLUDED. EVERYONE WAS REALLY WELCOMING AND WILLING TO EXPLAIN. A BIG THANK TO MARGARIDA OF LIVING TOUR, SHE WAS REALLY LOVELY
Nice experience, well managed and executed. Courteous and knowledgeable staff. Comfortable bus, good food and tastings. Would have liked to taste Douro wines, not just Ports.

The cruise was 10 minutes shorter! So 40 instead of 50 minutes....
The cruise was nice and worth the money. However we found it a bit overcrowded not everyone could sit outside and people were tightly seated together.
The boat tour was beautiful and easy to find! I loved seeing Porto from the water with the history explained of the bridges.
It was a very relaxing way to see Porto from the water. A good commentary accompanied the trip. Well worth spending the hour doing this trip!
The boat ride was lovely. Too bad they would not accept our smartphone tickets. We had to wait in line to get new paper tickets and missed the boat. Had to wait an hour in the sun before the next sailing.
Nice trip. Brilliant view. Reasonable price. Recommend. Please do check this. You will have a good time on the Douro River.
It was incredible, very enjoyable, I recommend 🥰adore

Booking was more complicated than it should have been.
Was good...pleasant way to spend an hour
Efficient process to pay and get the tickets. Highly recommend!
The trip was ok but it was kind of short and nothing really special but at the same time it was the same for everyone.
It wad amazing, I really recommend visiting this place!
Nice trip with good information. Better if it was going deeper into douro.
Lovely views, beautiful city, river cruise great, recommend
Convenient ticketing process and a relaxing ride on the river.

The tour was pleasant, has the right duration, and is well worth spending an hour learning a bit more about the production of Port wine.
It was quite fast but alright, the museum is short but interesting and there were two kinds of porto wine, and other tasting with three wines, they are really strong flavored so be ready and have some food before!
We learned a lot. The guide was extraordinary

The tasting and explanation was great. The only thing we missed was something to go with the port. We know there are tastings and I'm sure they are the best. But port without food, no matter how little, for some people it can be difficult to go back to the hotel.

By buying tickets in advance we skipped the line. The tour was informative and the port wine was delicious! Highly recommend.
It was a good visit, kind of standard one, not any big differentiator from another cellar. There was an important issue with the guide, since group was very big and she had no loudspeaker so we could not clearly hear her explanations on some of the stops, unless you were close to where she was standing
Very good, despite arriving a little late. The visit and tasting were enjoyable
